Anyway, so Glenn Beck was talking about the California judge that was mad at a homeschooling family and decided to punish all California homeschoolers. The ironic thing is they weren't even really in trouble for homeschooling, per se. Here's some more information:
Hype About the California Case by Mary Nix
"...holding really applied to private ISPs (there are persistent mistatements, that began with fact statements in the case, that the family was enrolled in a charter...)..."
Dang, this is all I could find after almost TWO hours of searching:
Here's a few news articles:
I simply don't see "credentialed" teachers wanting to tutor other kids for so little money and no benefits, when what they get as a teacher is already not worthy of their work. Are they kidding us? Chari, would they say your education isn't enough to "qualify" you?
And Jenn, as a joke and after the fact... can you imagine the government saying: so many kids these days have so much access to information, they can't help but plagiarize work sometimes. Let's just make it "okay" that way we can move forward? LOL Just kidding, of course.
The reason I brought up all the celebrities, is because between the Homeschooling Legal Defense and the celebrities, there's tons of hope (think MONEY). We have experts on law AND the money and publicity to back it. Not sure where John Travolta lives legally, and he probably does pay his kids' teachers more than Jennifer and Rob are payed, but he knows the majority of people cannot ever do that.
I know, I know, sporadic thinking. I should be sleeping. Really, I should. I will.
We'll see...
